The Colonic Procedure
You will lie on your left size as the speculum (disposable tube) is passed into your rectum. You will feel a slight pressure as it enters. The warm water will gently begin to enter the rectum. It is a gravity fed system so the pressure is relatively low and is well controlled by your practitioner. This will last approximately 10 minutes.You will move on to your back with your knees slightly bent and your treatment will continue with a special abdominal massage which allows the release of faecal matter.
