Feeling Anxious?
It is quite normal to feel anxious about having colonics for the first time. In my experience the four main things that concern people most in are:

Does it hurt?
No. you can obviously feel the speculum in your bottom but this is not a painful procedure.

I'm embarrassed about the treatment
Having been a nurse for many many years and working with colonics for 8 years I can offer a gentle and considerate procedure.

I'm scared I will make a mess.
Anything that comes form the bowel comes down the tube which goes directly into the main drainage system. There is no mess, and no smell.

Will I make it home after my treatment?
In my experience clients who leave the clinic will make it home comfortably, having used the clinics facilities following the treatment. There will not be any problem with urgency or diarrhoea afterwards as your bowels will be cleared out and able to resume a more normal function.

How long does the treatment last?
The treatment lasts approximately 45 minutes.

What will happen at my first appointment?
We will start with a questionnaire where we will find out about your diet, health and lifestyle. You will then be shown the equipment and have the procedure explained before being asked to sign a consent form. 

How will I feel after my treatment?
Most people feel physically lighter and refreshed with greater mental clarity and a sense of wellbeing. Many people feel an improvement in symptoms such as bloating, tiredness, indigestion etc. and feel their abdomen is more comfortable. 

How many treatments will I need? 
On average a course of 3-6 treatments is taken over a time span of 3 weeks to 4 months.
Some people require a course of colonics, however, this can vary depending on the individual. It is best to come along for a consultation where a more tailored programme will be made to suit your individual needs and history.
